One of life’s little pleasures is the abundance of nutritious delicacies we have at our finger tips. Healthy eating does not mean bland or uninteresting food. As I discover a recipe that is fantastic for clear, glowing skin I will post it.

These chocolate pots of sensory bliss will both feed your skin and satisfy your sweet tooth.
The hero ingredient, avocado, is one of The Beauty Chef’s favourite beauty foods as it is rich in anti-inflammatory fatty acids and skin protective plant nutrients, while antioxidant-rich cacao is a good source of iron and magnesium to help with skin repair.
Boosted with BODY Inner Beauty Powder Chocolate, rich in bio-available plant protein, superfoods and pro-biotics, these mousse pots are as healthy as they are delicious.
4 medjool dates, pitted
1/ 2 cup (125 ml) boiling water
1 cup (250 ml) coconut cream
1 medium avocado, halved, stone removed and flesh scooped out
1 medium very ripe banana, peeled and coarsely chopped
1 tablespoon maple syrup (use birch xylitol instead if you are on a low carb, low sugar, low GI diet)
1/ 2 cup (50 g) cacao powder
2 scoops Chocolate BODY Inner Beauty Powder
finely grated zest of 1 organic unwaxed orange
1 tablespoon cacao nibs, to decorate
Soak dates in the boiling water for 10 minutes, or until softened.
Place the dates & any remaining liquid in a high-speed blender, add the coconut,
cream, avocado, banana and maple syrup. Blend to combine.
Add the cacao powder, BODY Inner Beauty Powder & orange zest. Blend until
Spoon mousse into six 1/ 2 cup (125 ml) serving ramekins. Scatter with cacao nibs.
Refrigerate for 30 minutes, until slightly set.
- Cover and store in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.

Spiced Milk Base –
1/2 a cinnamon stick, broken
5 cardamon pods, bruised
1 star anise
4 black peppercorns, crushed
1 whole clove
2cm slice of peeled ginger
1/4 teaspoon of ground nut meg
1/2 cup of water
2 cups of coconut milk (the drinking kind)
2 tspns of SLEEP Inner Beauty Powder
1 tspn of manuka honey
ground cinnamon or nutmeg to serve
Toast the dry spices in a small frying pan over a low heat for around 30 seconds. Once fragrant add the water, ginger and nutmeg. Bring to boil, decrease the heat and simmer for 5 mins, mixture should have reduced by 1/2.
Pour in the milk and simmer for 5 mins. Turn off stove and stand for 10 mins.
Strain into 2 mugs, add the SLEEP Inner Beauty Powder and 1/2 tspn of honey in each mug.
Top with ground cinnamon or nut meg.
Serve, enjoy and rest well.
Tips: This mixture can be prepared and stored for 5 days in the refridgerator. Just heat up and serve with SLEEP powder and honey.
